Funding

Updated: Jan 2, 2024

DCERA are continuously searching for and applying for funding to help with projects within the community. There are a number of grants available for all sorts of projects, and whilst it is hugely beneficial to apply for grants, it is also very time consuming, and they can take some time to get approval. We also need to ensure that we pair the right funding to the right project.

I am pleased to announce that thanks to your votes, we were awarded £1000 through the North Ayrshire Participatory Budget Fund. As indicated through the letter you previously received through your door, this fund was secured to buy two items. A lawnmower to assist residents in maintaining their gardens, which will improve the appearance of the estate, and a gazebo for fundraising and events. Look out for these within the community in the near future.

Through the British Heart Foundation, we now have a community defibrillator, which has been installed on the fence at the back of 3 Dundonald Crescent. Check out our other blog post for more details.

We would like to say a big thank you to Gillian for securing £450 from the Co-op to help with events for the children within the estate. It was gratefully received and part of it was used for the Christmas Fair held on December 16th. Please keep an eye out for future events coming soon.
